Growing Information
|
| This smaller, bushy plant is mature at about 12-16” in height. This small plant tends to be very colorful with strong pinks and silverfish grays. The upper leaf surface is a dusky, powdery grey, heavily overlaid with dusky silver on their main lateral veins. The midrib is dark green overlaid with silver and there are dusky silver zones around the main lateral veins and the midrib. The basal lobes are barely united and broadly flaring. The lower surface of the leaf is a deep shining purple. The leaves are typically 8” long by 4” wide. The 10” long petioles are vibrant pink and almost sheath less. In some cases the pink petioles are overlaid with small brownish vertical streaks. The leaves are extremely thick and leathery and their overall appearance is cup-shaped as a result of the upward curve of the leaf margins. |
