  • Light: 65%-73% shade, likes high light, but will do reasonably well in 80% shade

  • Soil: aerated mix containing bark, coarse perlite and peat moss

       Also known as Alocasia tonkinensis Engl; ‘Night Scented Lily’. Located in the Philippines and Taiwan. Similar to Alocasia macrorrhiza, except during the intermediate growth stage when the leaves are slightly peltate. Glossy, light green, stiff-fleshy sagittate leaves up to 1m long with elevated stalks from thick stem: flowers fragrant. More cold tolerant than other varieties so it is commonly used as a garden ornamental and for landscaping.
