Fig 'Magnolia' is a great performer in the Southeast. It has become very popular in Texas in the dooryard fruit market. This fig has brown skin with an amber colored pulp. 'Magnolia' has an open eye which can cause the fruit to sour quickly, so it is important to pick it just before it is ripe. This is an ideal fig for canning. 'Magnolia' will produce figs on current and last years growth.
