Growing Information

  • Temp: For best growth above 65°F is recommended. Wind tolerant

  • Light: Full sun to no less than 30% shade. Foliage growers should use 30%-60% shade.

  • Soil: Good water holding capacity is needed

       This sport of ‘French Plantain is very prolific, it produces larger bunches of fruit than the French Plantain but with smaller fingers. It is tolerant of wilt and less susceptible to wind damage. From tissue culture it will fruit in 10-11 months. The fruit takes 60 to 75 days to ripen. It will sucker in 3-5 months.
