       ‘Persian Shield’ is known for having excellent foliage. It has large leaves that are striped with a shimmering blue and lilac color. On the underside this Strobilanthus is majestic maroon. This is an excellent choice for a summer patio or garden due to its quick growth. 'Persian Shield' also works well as a northern specialty annual; annual hedges, shade color, around ponds, & it keeps its foliage color all season.
