|
| Erect herb, with tuberous rhizomes, 40-70 cm high, with a general golden color, of unknown horticultural origin. Stemless when young, but developing the rhizome up to 50 cm above the ground in old plants. Leaf-blade membranous, with conspicuous veins above, 25-45 cm long, on spongy, 30-60 cm long sheathed petiole. Spathe erect, constrict, creamy 14-22 cm long, on 20-35 cm stalk. It is widely grown in semi-shade, usually in groups, in the tropical and subtropical regions, as well as in pots for indoors. ‘Lime Zinger’ is propagated easily by separation of the tuberous rhizomes. |
