Simply a "WOW" plant! Commonly known as elephant ears, these plants belong to the Aroid family and come in all shapes and sizes.  Alocasia are most valued for their gorgeous leaves that are heart or spade shaped and beautifully colored in gleaming shades of green, purple, bluish green, red, and bronze.Their uses range from indoor houseplants, landscape specimens, patio specimens, and mixed container centerpieces. It is an excellent plant for a grower due to its quick finish time. Most varieties are tropical and need warmth and humidity, excellent drainage, and partial sun or shade. In northern climates, alocasia have become popular in the growing trend of tropical annuals.
